Release 7 – January 2008

Four51 has added increased security options as well as tools to assist with interoperability in Release 7.

Password Security Enhancements
1. Admin users will be required to have passwords that meet the High security settings.
2. Admin users passwords will expire every 90 days.
3. High password security lockout settings will now be a 30 minute lockout after 6 failed attempts.
4. Buyer companies with High security may be set to have their passwords expire every 90 days.
5. All users cannot reuse their previous 4 passwords.


Bookmark or copy specific product or category page URL’s
1. Allow buyer users to return to a specific product or category by bookmarking it.
2. Copy the product or category page URL to share with someone else.
Requirements to use this feature:
1. Default Bookmark User must be set on the Edit Company Information page.
2. All products & categories for that buyer company must have unique interop id’s.


Variants based on Selection Specs
Set up a unique variant id, description, interop ID, and image, as well as track inventory for every different combination of variables and their options.
Requirements to use this feature:
1. Must be a static product with variable specs.
2. Variable spec must be selection type.
3. Variable spec must be required.
4. Variable spec must not have “Include an open-ended ‘Other’ option” checked.


Four51 Message upon login
Four51 will be able to post important messages that appear when Admin users logon to the application. This information will always be available on Access Four51 as well.


Reporting Updates
1. Time Span – Next Day added.
2. Order ID filter added to Line Item and Order reports.


Display Inventory to users
In place of a negative inventory number, buyer users will see 0. The negative number will appear on the Distributor interface and in the inventory notification emails.


Saved Credit Cards
1. Saved credit card is not supported when using a PayPal merchant account.
2. Saved credit card is not supported for buyer companies that do not have a merchant account assigned.
3. When creating a saved credit card a $0.01 authorization will occur but will never be charged.


Site Customization
New Site Customization Text
1. Address help next to the address selector on the buyer billing, shipping and self admin pages.
2. Product not available with selected options which appears when Variants based on Selection Specs is in place and the buyer selected an inactive combination of specs.

Site Customization field length extended to 2,000 characters

Any way that the four51 popup notices can be posted higher on the page? For those of us with a small screen it is a big pain to get to the "ok" button at the bottom of the notice, so we can close the notice and move on to administering to the site. Thanks

Thank you for your feedback on the pop up message that appears. Unfortunately, at this time I do not know of any way to move that message up on the page. We hope that the information provided is helpful and worth the extra effort to scroll down and locate the button.
